Vitamin C Skincare
Any skincare addict will have heard the hype around vitamin C. But what does it really do for your skin? Here’s everything you need to know about this radiance-boosting, anti-ageing powerhouse.
Vitamin C. What does it do?
Vitamin C has long been hailed as the immune system’s bestie for preventing coughs and colds, but what does it do for your skin? Or rather, what doesn’t it do?!
This multi-tasking marvel helps treat the look of pigmentation, helps prevent UV-induced photo damage and helps boost collagen. All while smoothing the look of skin and boosting its luminosity. Pretty special, huh?!
But, not all vitamin C skincare products are created equal. It’s a tricky customer when it comes to formulation because it breaks down with regular exposure to air and light. That means it has to be stabilised (don’t we all) in order to stay potent.
How often should you use it?
Vitamin C skincare can be used every day, morning or evening. Simply apply on to clean skin before your moisturiser and allow to absorb.
Our Anew Vitamin C Radiance Serum with its stabilised formula is perfect for morning application.
What can I use with Vitamin C?
For an added boost of radiance to your skin, we’d recommend combining the skin luminating properties of vitamin C with the exfoliating qualities of glycolic acid, which can both be found in our Radiance Tonic.
So how does it work? Glycolic acid isn’t like your usual exfoliator, as it doesn’t include tiny beads that can irritate or scratch your skin. Instead, it gently removes your skin’s outer layer of dead skin, working together with the vitamin C to reveal a brighter complexion. The tonic element helps to prepare your skin by refining and rejuvenating it after cleansing, allowing your skin to hold onto moisture before applying serums or creams.
So, to C, or not to C… there’s really no question! It's time to give your skin the love and attention it deserves with our Vitamin C collection. From our serum (featuring the power of 30 oranges) to our radiance tonic, we're here to help make your skin even more radiant, every day.
